Externally the car is absolutely stunning. Whilst some of the paintwork is not totally original, (the car has lived all of its life in London and Marbella), the bodywork is still in great shape with absolutely no signs of any corrosion.
There are no major scratches or marks except a couple of very small parking dings which are really difficult to spot.
The original 18'' alloy wheels are in really good condition but are not perfect - there is some kerbing to the edge of a couple of the wheels. All of the tyres on the car are matching and are nearly new, the only exception to this is the spare which unusually is a full sized 18" wheel - the tyre of which is the same size as the ones on the car and is in excellent condition but is a different brand.
The 4 litre Supercharged V8 is one of Jaguars best designs - powerful, tractable and effortless delivery. Mated to the 5 speed automatic it make a lazy tourer which can turn into a scalded cat when the situation demands!
Generally, the leather of Jaguar interiors wear badly especially in hot climes.
I am pleased to report that this particular car suffers from no such issues.
The interior is really clean, the carpets are still in very good condition which have been protected by the OE Jaguar overmats which are also in good order.
We have had a set of lambswool over rugs which are sometimes referred to as 'Mouton overlays' in Royal blue made for the car to add that touch of opulence!
The seats, as can be seen in these images are in very good condition with only the drivers seat showing any signs of use.
The seats are all electric which operate perfectly, the drivers seat also has 3 position memory which also remember your external mirror position and steering column position which also electrically retracts when you switch the engine off.
The vehicle also benefits from an Alpine Navigation System with a removable screen which is an expensive original equipment Jaguar option. We have not been able to test the Navigation as the 'gooseneck' for the screen is damaged, wse have one on order which will be delivered in the next few days.
EUROPEAN (ie with COC's), Jaguar XJR's are rare, there are a few for sale in Germany at between Eur16500 and Eur19000 but they are not in the same condition as our nor have they covered such low mileages - our car at £12500 is exceptional value especially when you consider that we have had the car fully 'gone over' by a Specialist that Jaguar Heritage choose to look after its priceless fleet!
