F240 YSG was supplied to its first owner in May 1989 and specified as a R107 300SL finished in solid black with a hard and soft top with a grey full leather interior and rear seats.
She has always been a second or third car and was sold in June 1996 as an approved used Mercedes Benz with just 46806 miles to the last owner, (the mileage and service history were validated as part of the Mercedes Approved Used car scheme).
The owner, a collector, kept the car in absolutely 'tip-top' condition, using her only on high dats and holidays which shows both in the condition of the car and the very low mileage.
Over the past 13 years the car has covered just over 21k miles and has been in storage from 1997 until last year when it was fully recommissioned which involved replacing some rubber items, fully checking the car over both mechanically and electrically and at the same time we took the opportunity to update the stereo system to a Blaupunkt CD/Radio.
